The Highland Winds, a subsidiary of The Highland School of Music and Art, is a woodwind ensemble comprised of four professional musicians who perform primarily as a Clarinet Quartet. We also have the flexibility to perform as a Mixed Woodwind Trio, and as a Saxophone Quartet, when presenting Young Audience Concerts for elementary school students.

Presently, we are seeking opportunities to perform in a wide variety of venues. These venues include elementary schools, libraries, retirement communities, nursing homes, assisted care facilities, churches and synagogues. For Young Audience programs presented in the elementary schools, a written script outlining the program content will be sent to the respective school several weeks in advance of the concert date. The music teacher in the building where the concert will take place will have the opportunity to explain the program content to the students who will be attending the concert as means of developing connected learning. We believe our Young Audience presentations are highly educational, interactive, and enjoyable for all to hear and see. The BOCES Arts In Education Program recognizes and supports the efforts of The Highland Winds in presenting Young Audience Concerts to elementary schools throughout central New York region.
